Vintage German screw arm plow plane; used

$90.00

Vintage German screw arm plow plane; used

Maker:  W. Drauntz, Heilbronn, Germany; circa early 20th Century

A unique example of continental Europe early 20th century plane making by W. Drauntz. Very good condition, all parts including iron are original.  Plane body is beechwood; nuts are boxwood.  Small chip and minor bruising to wedge; minor chips on screw arms.  Nuts turn freely and fully secure fence at desired setting.  The plane is somewhat larger/heavier compared to American/English plow planes and is unusual with a metal insert in the throat where the iron is seated (top view of the plane shows this). Plane is fully functional and can be used as originally intended (iron requires sharpening/honing).  Makers mark imprint is visible on nose.

Price:  $90 OBO
