Very Rare Antique American toothed scraping plane, Used

Maker: Rohrkasse & Co., Cincinnati, OH, circa 1849-1857

A very rare toothed scraping plane by Rohrkasse & Co.  Plane is fully functional (iron requires sharpening/honing before use).  Made of beechwood.  Maker’s mark clearly visible on nose of plane.  All parts/hardware are original.  Overall very good condition with some bruising on top of wedge from original use and some staining on the plane body.  Pollak “American Wooden Planes”, 4th edition rarity rating:  3 stars (very rare).
