$150.00

Scarce Bailey No. 31 Transition Jointer, Used

Maker:  Bailey (later Stanley), New Britain, CT

A scarce 22”” transition jointer plane by Bailey/Stanley with a 2 ¼” iron.  This is a Type 12 produced from 1905 -1908.  The imprint on the nose is faint but reads: “BAILEY, STANLEY RULE & LEVEL CO., No 31”.  The iron trademark is for irons manufactured until 1908. This particular example reflects normal wear from original use including scratches on the sole and some staining but overall is in good condition.  Japanning of the metal surfaces is about 75%.
