Maker: Collins & Co., Ravena, OH; circa 1838-1850

A rare antique American wedge arm plow plane by Collins & Co.  Very good condition, all parts including irons are original.  Plane body is beechwood; arms wedges are boxwood.  Expected wear on the bottom leading edge of the fence.  Plane is fully functional and can be used as originally intended (iron requires sharpening/honing).  Makers mark imprint is visible on nose of the plane.  Pollak “American Wooden Planes”, 4th edition rarity rating:  2 stars (rare).
