Maker: Allen & Eldridge, Williamstown, MA, circa 1850

A rare screw arm moving fillister plane by American plane maker Allen & Eldridge, Williamstown, MA.  Plane is fully functional (iron requires sharpening/honing).  Plane body is beechwood.  Maker’s mark clearly visible on nose of plane.  All parts/hardware are original.  Overall very good condition with some minor dings from original use.  Screw arms in excellent condition and nuts turn freely.   Pollak “American Wooden Planes”, 4th edition rarity rating:  2 stars (rare).
