Maker: A.B. Seidenstricker Co., Baltimore, MD; circa 1856-1866

A rare screw arm moving fillister plane by A.B. Seidenstricker.  Plane is fully functional (iron requires sharpening/honing).  Plane body made of beech; arms and nuts are boxwood.  Maker’s mark clearly visible on nose of plane.  All parts/hardware are original.  Overall very good condition with some minor dings from original use.  Screw arms in excellent condition and nuts turn freely.   Pollak “American Wooden Planes”, 4th edition rarity rating:  2 stars (rare).
