Maker:  Stanley Rule & Level Co, New Britain, CT

A scarce “early” Bedrock series 7” smoother plane by Stanley.  This “early” series of Bedrock planes is characterized by the rounded top of the sides of the plane body, a smaller front knob and the early type of frog used in these planes.  April 1995 patent date on bed.  Type 3 trademark on iron.  Lever cap reads STANLEY BED ROCK.  This particular example reflects minimal wear from original use and overall is in very good condition with estimated 80% of the original Japanning intact.  Fully functional – iron requires sharpening/honing.
