Maker:  Henry G. White, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1846-1858

A rare antique American screw arm plow plane by American plane maker Henry G. White.  Very good condition, all parts including the iron are original.  Plane body is beechwood; arms/nuts/ are boxwood.  Minor bruising on wedge.  Screw arms nuts are snug and fully secure arms at desired setting.  Plane is fully functional and can be used as originally intended (iron requires sharpening/honing).  Makers mark imprint is visible as shown in nose photograph.  Pollak “American Wooden Planes”, 4th edition, rarity rating:  2 stars.
